Kylie & Scott had planned for an outdoor wedding at Mission Table, but nature had other ideas as the rain showed no sign of stopping. Several text messages later plan B was implemented.
The first look at The Village at Grand Traverse Commons was the perfect moment for Kylie & Scott to connect with one another, take a deep breath and officially start the day. Before heading to the ceremony, we made a fun trip to the tunnels and they even got a chance to dance in the rain. Thank you Kylie’s dad for holding an umbrella over my head!
The indoor space at Mission Table was transformed for a cozy, warm and romantic candlelit ceremony. As soft rain tapped against the window panes, Kylie & Scott exchanged vows surrounded by their closest friends and family in a room full of love.
Scott’s mom summed it up perfectly as she shared this quote during the ceremony.
“Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning”Winnie the Pooh
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck. And sometimes the unexpected and unplanned make for the best stories. As Kylie put it – 70 years from now they will be able to share the secret to a long marriage – all the luck that poured down as they celebrated their special day.
Kylie & Scott, it was such an honor to celebrate your marriage with you – congratulations!
